Women in Science, Engineering & Technology Group
The Women in Science Group was established in 2007 to consider and address any issues relating to women working in science. It was expanded in 2009 to cover engineering and technology.
The Group meets regularly and receives an annual breakdown of gender in academic positions in all Faculties and where issues are identified it can make recommendations on remedial action.
In addition, the Group has established a mentoring scheme for female academics returning from maternity leave.
If anyone wishes to join the Group, please contact Anne Lamb, HR Adviser.
